Pancake Heaven
If you are like me then most of your Facebook feed is food channels. What other reason would I go Facebook other than food? What reason do I do anything for anyway?
One of my favourites channels is Tasty.
This weekend I decided to try their 4 ways healthy pancakes. However I only tried 2 ways and this was the result!
The following are not my recipes, just sharing Tasty's great ideas!
Cinnamon Pancakes:
INGREDIENTS
2 ripe bananas
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup quick oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
PREPARATION
1. Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well combined, then mix in oats and cinnamon.
2. Heat a skillet to medium and add in a scoop* of the pancake batter. Smooth out to form an even layer. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until you start to see bubbles releasing from the top of the batter. Flip and cook until the other side is golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Garnish your pancakes with your favorite toppings! (We used banana slices and chopped walnuts.)
4. Serve with maple syrup.
Chocolate Pancakes:
INGREDIENTS
2 bananas
2 eggs
½ cup quick oats
2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
¼ cup dark chocolate chips

PREPARATION
